upload Your Photos

1. When you select My Photos you will see a gallery of photos you have previously uploaded and a menu that includes Add Photo.

Photo Gallery

Click on Add Photo and you will see a form that begins like this:

Photo Upload

2. As you can see, there is a drop-down list of sports categories from which to choose (if you don't see your sport in the list, [please let us know: link]). You should enter a brief title in the Title field and then use the Description field to provide more details. When providing a description there is no need to duplicate information covered in the rest of the fields.

Note that you need to complete all the fields. The Date Taken field requires a date in format: mm/dd/yyyy so that you would enter August 9, 2007 as 08/09/2007. If you think one of the fields does not apply to your video, type NA.

When you get to the Photo field you should click Browse to tell us where on your computer the photo file is located. The file should be in JPG format. There is an upper limit of around 5 megabytes on photo uploads. The exact limit depends to some extent on your Internet connection speed as there is a timeout limit on uploading of 10 minutes. A 5 megabyte image file will take around 2 minutes to upload with a standard broadband connection. This can take longer however when the site is busy. If your camera creates larger file sizes than this just use your favorite photo editor to reduce or crop the image).

3. The last-but-one step is the bottom of the form:

Accept SiteTerms and Conditions

Make sure you accept the terms of the site. If you are unsure, you can click on the phrases Accept Site Terms and Accept Copyright Terms to view the terms in a new window. If you do not accept the terms, do not upload the video (click on Cancel to close the upload form).

8. Finally, when you have clicked the two Yes boxes, you have three Save options:

Click Save & Exit to begin the upload process. Note that this may take several minutes, during which time you should not click any other menu items. You will know when the upload has completed because the name of the file will disappear from the Photo box.

Use Save & Localize if you want upload the photo with further details in a language other than English.

Click Save & Continue if you have more photos to upload.
